==Background== The QF 6-pounder is a British anti-tank gun in Post Scriptum. A 57 mm caliber cannon and the primary anti-tank gun of the British army that was used throughout World War 2. It also served as the main armament for a number of armored fighting vehicles. The planned development of the gun had begun before the start of the war, but it first saw use in the North African Campaign in April 1942. It quickly replaced the 2-pounder in the role of a dedicated anti-tank gun. The Americans would adopt the 6-pounder as their primary anti-tank gun under the designation "57 mm Gun M1". == Strategy == It offers 2 crew positions, one driver and one gunner, but it can effectively be used by a single crew member. The 6-pounder is deadly against Panzer IIIs and Panzer IV Gs. It should also be noted that it is the only towed artillery that gets access to APDS (Armour Piercing Discarding Sabot) rounds, which can make quick work of Panthers and Tiger Es due to their very high penetrating power. However, with its crew exposed, it is prone to being taken out by small arms fire, grenades, or machine-guns on tanks. The 6-pounder serves best in two scenarios; Ambush or defense. If used in a defensive manner, it is crucial to be around allied infantry. In an ambush role, find a spot that provides a wide and long line of sight. The further out the target is, the easier it will be dealt with. Parked by roads used by the enemy will allow you to deal with trucks, MSP, tanks and other vehicles. == Sources == WikipediaWeapon nav
