The P.I.A.T is an anti-tank weapon featured in Post Scriptum. It received mixed reviews by the infantry using it, but the PIAT is actually a very good anti tank weapon in-game. The PIAT was based on a spigot mortar system, which gave it an effective firing range of 105 meters. More than 100,000 was produced. The PIAT saw it's first use during the Allied invasion of Sicily in 1943. The weapon was also lend leased to the French resistance and the Soviet Union. The PIAT was cumbersome and heavy, but proved an effective anti-tank weapon at close range.

Strategy[ | ]

The PIAT has no back-blast which makes it difficult for enemy tank and vehicle crews to determine your location. The anti-tank role also comes with four bombs, plenty of ammo to take down even the heavy Tiger in close to medium encounters. The PIAT is quickly aimed and provides a good field of view in combat. It will reliably knock out soft targets like trucks and even scout cars in one hit.
